Not showing baby bump.. That is would happen if you are overweight or obese...
And if your baby is smaller than of AOG=> age of gestation... It is a BIG RED FLAG!!! Your baby is not developing welll and you are super malnourished!!!
During 20 wks of gestation.. The fundal height of mother should be close to her AOG... That is until 34 or 36 weeks of pregnancy..
So normally.. Around mid 4 or at most 5 months time.. There is a baby bump.. M and baby bump is more noticeable with smaller frame women
Well I cannot say I am malnourished but I am quite petite before, I gain a lot of weight now though.
Anyway, because my period is irregular, I only knew I was preggy around 4 months. The Oby let me take a preg test to make sure I was pregnant because my stomach is super flat. At 5 months they made me take ultrasound to check the baby and he was okay. I really just got a flat stomach. It starts to show around 6th month.
Hmm.. If you knew you are preggy around 4 months and took your ultrasound... What was the AOG written in the result??
It has been said that your 1st ultrasound with calculated AOG is more accurate than your last day of menstrual period, your LMP..
5 months and doctor is doing ultrasound.. Yeah, that sounds right..
Presumably 5 months without the bump.. It will really raise concerns of your doctor...
I do not specialize in ob gyne.. But in school... We are always thought of 5 months is the month of noticeable changes..
Having the ultrasound also completes your monthly regular check up with your doctor. Until 28 weeks of gestation... From that week... You need to see your doctor every 2 weeks
Oh my, I really cannot remember. It was 13 years ago. :3
Thank you for the information though. Never know about the AOG. I have no medical knowledge and the doctor ask my last mens on the first visit which I was able to somehow know. They did not tell me I got the month wrong or AOG after the untrasound so I think I was able to guess correctly?
You are welcome .
Hmm.. I guess it is just nowadays pregnant women have milestone booklets with them with calculated aog and the their monthly progress with labs..
Hmm.. AOG, in the end is that the estimated one based on the fundal height of the fetus...
I cannot tell if you got it right.. Please do not be offended.... but evidence data says that mostly women with regular menstrual cycles do tend to say their LMP more accurately than those with irregular menstrual cycles..
Studying medicine helped me understand the progress of patient-doctor relationship approach... I guess 13 years ago.. Patient education is not much an importance or it depends of the doctor if he/she wanted to be transparent. PDR is highly recommended nowadays
Is it safe to ride horses during pregnancy??? And hope they cleared their secret (sigh).
They are giving me stress ( ̄へ ̄)
