Louis not thinking Maetel’s feelings are genuine doesn’t feel believable in this story. Like in other stories, it feels believable when one love interest seemingly likes someone else. But in this story I’m getting increasingly frustrated/irritated with Louis. He’s also supposed to be a very smart detective so the way that he is sooo slow to pick up on things isn’t endearing or heart-wrenching like in other stories with this trope; it’s just annoying
Yah I hate when that happens in these types of stories. It’s extremely frustrating. I feel like Louis somehow can’t pick up on any signals when it comes to feelings but when it comes to crime he’s an expert! (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 Hopefully he will figure out soon

Right? There’s a weird discrepancy in his character. I hope so, too.
