If taking a hostage that Charlotte entrusted to him on a little detour and killing him on the way esp since she just saved him isn’t called betrayal, then I don’t know what is.
Also yes, a lot of her power is gone but she is still the same person ??? Her character didn’t change and her experiences didn’t either. So why is he making decisions over her head? It’s not like she became an irrational teenager, she just looks younger.
I understand that he’s in love with her and wants to protect her but not telling her about what he plans to do to her disciple is not a sign of protection... ( ̄∇ ̄")

He shouldn't do what she wants and put others in danger, what charlotte is doing is dangerous, she's putting everyone in danger, what she's doing isn't betraying her people? Continue to help the main cause of destruction of her empire? She is no longer powerful, she does not have the power of before, we have already seen how everything goes wrong when she is alone, running out of magic in the worst moments, fainting when her body can't stand to use a little magic, If that's not being weak then I don't realize what it is.... Besides Charlotte has never said anything to Jeffrey, why should he say to her now?

ur kinda changing ur words. u said she IS a powerful magician, but she isn't. Now ur saying a lot of her power's gone but shes still the same person. there's a difference between her personality qnd magical power. U claimed she was still a powerful magician at first. Also ur not even talking about the decisions Charlotte makes that can cause harm to others as well as look like betrayal. And she has become more irrational. She also promised herself to find true love and to let her disciples be on their own yet she circled right back to them.

It may have sounded like that but I didn’t really change my words. She IS still a powerful magician - remember on her way to Carsilian (the disciple who is the king of the magic nation, prolly got his name wrong) she was an important figure when these monsters or whatever attacked. And yes, she’s lost a lot of her power and is a lot weaker than before but you need to keep in mind that she was the best magician in the world before, so even after losing most of her power, she’s still more powerful than your average magician. Even though maybe she wouldn’t win in a stamina battle, she has a lot of experience (think about this like a sword duel - a weaker but more experienced fighter will always beat a stronger but inexperienced fighter).
Now the thing is if you compare her to cataclysm or her disciples (that she taught herself so they should be pretty powerful), of course she is quite weak.
And well if you think it’s right for Jeffrey to interfere, that’s cool for you, but if I was in this situation he'd have a real hard time redeeming himself after that.
To me their conversations about the past implied that even before Charlotte's attempt at death, they weren’t in contact for a long time. So he lived his life and Charlotte lived her life with her disciples. She never had to tell anyone what she’s doing before so she doesn’t see the need to do so now. Well, and Jeffrey comes back into her life after years and years of not being there and decides her disciples are not trustworthy and decides to kill them off??
Dude, I’d be pissed.
Also Evan kinda made a point when he asked Jeffrey if he really thinks Charlotte didn’t know about him when she made him her disciple (which also confirms how long they weren’t in contact with each other).

I honestly don’t know what’s not to understand. I said she was a powerful magician and still is. When you’re the best athlete in the city, you’re a great athlete but in comparison to Olympian athletes you still wouldn’t stand a chance. But nonetheless that fact wouldn’t make you less of a great athletes.
So I’m saying Charlotte went from being the undefeated Olympian Winner to someone who is good enough to participate but won’t get a podium place.
Or maybe the problem is grammar? Well then let me use present perfect and maybe you’ll understand me better then: Charlotte has always been a powerful magician.

I think you don't know how to explain it or you have a wrong definition, charlotte is weak because she has no power, she is still the same but at the time of fighting she has no magic to face anyone because she faints, you say that she has experience, obviously she has it but it is of no use to her to have experience when she needs a group of people (with powers) to lead and give them directions what to do, therefore she needs help from others, Because she alone cannot, therefore with her experience she can lead and tell them how to solve the problem just as she did in Carsilion's arc and Yulian's arc

In that sense she is powerful but most say that she does not need anyone because she alone can face everyone when that is not so, because she needs help from others, most characters have told her, for example now she has asked the phanteum for help, therefore she will need help from others to carry out her plan , while with Jeffrey's, you should read all the manhwa, he has always been there present with her and has even lived with the disciples, He has always been with her, he has never left her side and if he has it is because he has his life in klaus, even Carsilion and eldo have done the same because what Charlotte is doing, is wrong, she is betrayed to her empire and to her own allies

I definitely don’t remember every detail in the manhwa, it’s been a long time since I started reading this and there’re quite a few chapters with a bumpy translation ... but how exactly did Charlotte betray her empire and allies?
Do you mean by trying to die? Bc last time I checked it’s not a crime to attempt suicide ( ̄∇ ̄")

The translation is horrendous, honestly it is difficult to understand especially with the translation of ta*** where they changed all the dialogues, it is better to read the raw, regarding the betrayal, I do not mean to die, I mean when charlotte took Evan (prison) from Marveil, took carsilion's right hand, she was against the orders of the emperor (Carsilion) she is protecting the main cause of Marveil being in war 100 years before and this in danger in the current, She seems runaway running away with him, that's what I mean by betrayal
Usually I’m team Jeffrey all the way but it’s kinda starting to bug me that he just betrays Charlotte like every chance he gets ( ̄∇ ̄")
I mean she is a powerful magician, she can make her own decisions and protect herself
(It also doesn’t help that Evan was very hot this chapter ;-;)
