hm i guess but in the end this IS a manga and most mangas don’t really have “mature” moments, especially when it comes to shoujo’s. yeah it is hard to find what you prefer(mature romance) but if you don’t like how the storyline is i would just give up trying to read other mangas cause most of them are gonna include moments where they are “immature” and “inappropriate”
When I say "mature" romances I mean adult. Not grade school adolescent romances. Mangas always have moments of immaturity since that plays off of comedic relief and adults can be childish, as well. This is inappropriate in the sense of the age differences and the power play that comes with student/teacher relationships. I don't think you've interpreted my comment well. I have found nice romance mangas with excellent dynamics (Living, Eating, and Sleeping Together is one example). Like I have stated, I do like aspects of this story except for age difference and yaknow, him being a teacher that's making advances towards a vulnerable student (wanting to kill herself over rejection is irrational). Besides, having criticisms towards the story does not mean I'm critiquing those who enjoy it as long those that do enjoy it know that this isn't a relationship to idolize.
Lol please, don't be sorry. If anything, I'm sorry if my comment came off too blunt or argumentative. Not my intention nor was I offended. I just wanted to voice my opinion and tried to make it straightforward but rereading what I wrote, I can see how it can seem defensive. I appreciate your kindness and concern.
It's just no adult should find someone in these specific stages of their life (adolescence) attractive. I'm highkey bitter cause I'm always trying to find mature romances where they're of appropriate ages but their interactions tend to be so childish and unnatural. I like the banter and art in this and how there are awkward and embarrassing moments. Idc if it's fiction since some people that are young romanticize this inappropriate dynamic.
