Technically him and two other of the wings are bewitched by the Darkness (the main bad guy and is basically the evil to the Goddess and Dragon's good (there's another godlike being, I think he goes by Causality or something and he's in charge of keeping order in the world, so while he tends to be neutral from my understanding, the Darkness wants to tip the balance too much so he's with the other two)) and not the Temporary Saintress (the MC's mom, who was picked by the Goddess until the real one came around (the MC)), she was also sorta bewitched by it as well.
The Darkness make the other fake wings that the mom has as well.
