You can gain coins/points by watching the ads in some site
For exmple

Ta*as
(replace * with ''p'')
There might be more but I only know about these two (⌒▽⌒)

Ads revenue mainly. But also those websites and apps usually have different offers depending on the popularity and number of views.. I’m no expert but just an example would be the early access or fast pass. And if that said comic is uploaded somewhere else a part of those potential views is lost which is sad. The comic could be super popular here and still be one of the least popular on the original app. The author in that case doesn’t make enough profit despite their comic being super popular online
