He already has entered 2nd class of his school. It’s been more then just one year, but they spent most of their 2nd class time in war.
I’m not sure how the school system works in Japan or in MHA, but they entered 2nd class short after the Christmas holidays if I remember correctly.

Japanese school started in april, but idk about the school in bnha, it should be the same tho
If i remember correctly the environment looks like spring when deku took the test to enter UA, most likely the manga also start school in april
Idk about that school after christmas holiday because i haven't read all chapters, but are you sure they're already in 2nd grade at that time? Most likely they're still in 1st grade because the school ended in march
Oh Deku ... he has had so much on his shoulders and it has hardly been 1 year since he started the hero school... Hope he has a proper plan because I think he really knows what he is doing deep down (pushes away All Might and so on)
