I would say that it would be weirder if this age gap (15-10) would date if they actually met for the first time at this age but for them they knew each other when they were younger children ( from him being 12 and her 7) so it feels more normal to see them have that connection of falling in love with each other.
I do sometimes think that it's weird but I think it's something also normal. It would be something different if for example a 15y old would fall in love first sight to a 10y old . That screams a big no.
