Waiting so the author can get some benefit is more fair. Especially on this website.
Personally I agree. What do "original" uploaders even gain? What, do they like being thanked that much?
The uploaders wants to give a window of opportunity for people to actually read the manga in the official website/app (a.k.a paying the authors, essentially). We are readers in an illegal site, and if the chapters are uploaded here as soon as they are out, people wouldn't consider buying at the official sites. We are not in a position to demand immediate uploads here, remember that. Again, we are reading on this site illegally.
Also, uploading over a group/individual who has said that they will be uploading regularly is just disrespectful in general. You're disregarding their time and effort to screenshot and formatting these manhwas for us to read comfortably.
That's a very detailed explanation, although I don't think speed of uploading is the problem, what I am bothered personally is the fact that they were petty enough to repost after someone posted. Like I yet it disrespect or whatever, but the person who posted also took their time to translate. I read raws particularly those in Korean, Thai and Chinese and I've seen how much it would take to translate and cut pictures to the right angle and stuff.
The person who uploaded wasn't the original uploader but they still took their time to do it as well. Is their time less than the original uploader. I'm grateful to both, but the pettiness really isn't nice either. I'm sure the person understands now but to repost after they repost, that's like you cleaning and then me re-cleaning after you're done. It's just as disrespectful.
There’s no translations its screenshotting the chapter from lezhin. And they shouldnt have uploaded over them like sorry it’s disrespectful ig but each chapter clearly says do not upload over me and they did so they lost that opportunity for respect by posting too early and by posting over the original uploaded
What Slayeon said is correct. This particular manhwa has an official translation on lezhin, that you must pay for to read. The uploader group/individual is simply uploading those translated chapters here. The problem here is that the 'original' uploader, as you put it, has stated in the beginning of each chapter their upload schedule and for others not to upload after them. And yet, the secondary uploader didn't respect their wishes. That is what's wrong. If there wasn't any warnings, yes, uploading over someone else might be okay.
Also, if the situation really was that this manhwa is a fan translation and not an official one. Does the original uploader not take the time to translate and clean the manhwa as well? What do you mean petty? Imagine if you had a project that you're really excited about. You've planned an entire timeline for that project, but then someone else completely steals the idea from you and took all the credit. It doesn't matter that the second uploader 'put effort' into it, they should've respected the original uploader's wishes in the first place. It's not like they abandoned the manhwa. It was an effort that didn't need to be put on the first place.
To be honest whoever can upload the fastest should upload a chapter imo
