Is it true...

Is it true that in the originals source of this manga-- the novel-- Kang lived a life of promiscuity, drugs, and alcohol until the entrance exam to help with his headaches?

If so, MC please RUN and do not look back. Kang is still the same selfish, self-centered man he was 7 years ago. He used these things to cope with headaches when he could've brought this up to the doctor instead. On top of that, he chooses to sweep it under the rug and didn't even bother to search for the truth until it was 7 years later, right under his nose (his sister yelling at him), and for his own well-being (when he realised that the one he imprinted was MC)

The way he told MC off that day was already a HUGE warning; the bastard didn't even listen to him and continued to be rude to him as soon as they meet 7 years later. Both he and the child are better off without him, and Kang also doesn't need them, if anything he needs serious help. He's like a narcissist.

It's so bizarre how we are suppose to root for this character when it makes literally no sense. He's the worst kind of person but because he's the ML they have to end up together. Like who's like let me just write about the literal worst romantic love interest you can think of but still give him a happy ending because I clearly don't like nice things. Not evening blaming the artist this is all the original novel author's fault because he's a dumpster fire character.
