It went somewhere like this: there’s two childhood friends, the FL like the ML, but she could’ve never revealed her feelings because the ML at that time already had a childhood sweetheart. But then the childhood sweetheart of ML was sent to a king of a neighboring country. When the ML was crowned, he married the FL, but told her to never expect any love from him. FL couldn’t stand the fact that she was in love with him, but it gets worse when the former sweetheart of the ML returned and claimed to bore a “child belonging to” the ML. The FL filed for a divorce and fled.
