Second this, the second male syndrome is really strong in a lot of isekai manhwa. Can't the FL's choose a better ML, I felt that a lot of FL's has Stockholm syndrome that they kept falling in love to the ones who once killed them.
Tbh I'm only okay with those when the murder is justified, like when the family is full of evil scheming mfs or if the girl was cruel and/or evil in the past life.
THEN there's mangas like the one called the prince's ornamental wife or some shit where the ml cheated on her openly and had kids with more than like 10 women and felt no remorse cus he didn't love her leading to her dying alone but now that she's been sent back in time and is "different" he simping and we just supposed to be like

Ik one of the biggest ones is Doctor Elise but in that one the MC was kind of a villainess.
Also the Emperor's secretary where the MCs entire family gets wiped out cus her brother made a slight mistake in his secretary work (tbh really fucking hate the emperor for this). Oh and definitely Lady to Queen where MCs entire family gets wiped out when the villainess frames her sister for a crime and the emperor (who's on board with the whole thing btw) has her family and her decapitated.

Tbh I think you should definitely read Doctor Elise since the fault did lie mostly with the girl and it's a great redemption story with nice art that I simped for.

Definitely !! For example in ‘doctor elise’ she was evil and stuff but in cases like “the abandoned empress” and those like the one you mentioned it’s so disappointing when she ends up with the disgusting ml. Those men don’t even like the original person but they only get interested when the fl changes and it becomes one of the “you’re the first to treat me like this” cases. It ruins the whole manga for me..
Ohh and also “the duchess of the glass house”. The manga is interesting and I personally still read it even tho it’s frustrating but basically the ml marries her just for some mines, takes her child away away from her and locks her up in her room until her death but ofc everything gets better just bc he regrets it after they reincarnate
Ikrr it’s so frustrating, the 2nd male leads appreciates her so much but ofc her smart ass has to choose the guy who literally killed her byt starts liking her just bc she changes
Ah for this one there's actually a lot more going on and almost (notice I said almost) all of the fault lies with the girls dad (mf killed like all of the husband's supporters so that he could only rely on the dad and the dad basically says don't give my daughter love if you want my support, he also threatens to kill the daughter and child (he planted spies) if he ever catches the husband being kind to them, literally a shitshow but a good one)
No wonder I didn't know this was a common thing cause I haven't read like any of these
