Actually, it turns out, MC is the clone and Victor is the doctor/researcher. Her 'husband' isn't her husband either. It's all just a fabricated story/memory implanted in her to test her reaction(?) The husband and the mistress are in fact the real married couple and according to a review the two of them are very in love and loyal to each other.

I'm pretty sure their entire corporation is in the whole thing. They made such an elaborate ruse just to see if she'll break against her clone nature (the thing they call 'the three rules') kinda like 'Detroit become human' where the androids develop a will of their own and go against their programming I guess.
And yes, Victor is the ML. MC is the clone modeled after his dead lover. According to the wiki they'll be the first official(? I think to formally marry) Human-Clone family and they'll even have a child.
