not too sure but it happens to quite a few people too, a little trick I do is go to all genres and tick the genre you want, filter and then press latest updates (or updates) and you'll see the newest updated manga

Happens to me aswell. Sometimes it takes days to get the notifs and sometimes I'd just get surprised that I missed on some chapters. Sometimes I get Ocd tendencies and this really bugs me out of my day.
It usually takes sometimes before you get notifications. It would be uploaded first then later it will notify you
