Super late response, but I just stumbled upon your comment, I learned something new today. Being asexual, I’ve read about the many different orientations, but have never came upon heteroflexibility. The closest was something I read in the book “Understanding Asexuality” where the author talked about how you can fall in love someone of the same sex and not be sexually attracted to them because love and sex are separate things.
Yeah, I dunno why but it's an orientation that few people know it exists. There are so much nuances about sexual orientation, and I think it's important to always keep an open mind mindset. And yeah, asexuality is just an umbrella term for a lot of differences. The example you are talking about is like an asexual person that can and want a platonic relationship with a second person, but there are also aroace people. And there's also demisexuality, and so on. So, yeah: open mind is the way. Everybody deserve to love however they want and whoever they want
Can you really say you’re straight if you’re in a homosexual relationship, tho? But, they’re cute anyways.
