I don't think that it would be good for Aqua to be with someone just because he was reminded by Ai so idk if I could ship him with Akane :( and the fact that she used a dead person to mimic is still upsetting me :( THO IDK BC IT MIGHT CHANGE ONCE I GET TO SEE MORE OF HER. but for now, i'm still with arima

I think he should end up with arima or a different love interest, but not a akane’s impression of ai. “Moving on” f from ai will likely be an integral part of his character development
I personally think that Aqua is more relaxed when he's with Arima (like when he asked Arima to go out and play with him before the reality show) it's like thay have been friends the whole time but they had just met after years. On the other side, Aqua became intrested in Akane because of her interpretation of Ai. He first thought that she would be useful in searching Ai's lover as she could find out that Ai might have a child..
This is just my opinion but i think Arima is better for Aqua remember when Ruby said that whenever Aqua's with Arima he's back to being himself before Ai died it's like Arima brings out Aqua's true self and emotions where as in Akane's case the only thing she can do to bring out Aqua's emotions is to mimic Ai, Aqua doesn't feel any kind of emotion towards Akane except when she's mimicking Ai whereas Arima just being herself brings out Aqua's true self

is it just me who’s rooting for akane to be aqua’s love interest rather than arima? i find akane’s character to be more interesting because she could mimic ai’s personality really well
