to be honest its......kinda cringe....it feels like it was written as a 14 year olds stream of consciousness. Nothing really has a proper explanation. Like why does she get a do over despite being a horrible bitch for no reason at all? Why did she somehow get magic spirit calling powers? What happened to the random elf she rescued? Why couldn't the prince have summoned her to meet earlier if he was so curious? Why even disguise himself if his point is to meet his fiance? How did he ingratiate himself into their friend group so quickly? Why did Flare feel the need to forcibly throw them together despite her being visibly uncomfortable around him? Why did they even invite the bitchy snob girls? The pacing is so weird i cant tell if its been 3 days or 3 weeks since she got to the school.

Then a lot of the characters and their actions are straight up caricatures with no nuance. the green haired bitch is mean for no reason. instigates for no reason has 0 tact and the way they dealt with her was absolutely absurd. like she is still a nobles daughter and they grabbed her by the neck and choked her until she bled from the mouth and pissed her self in front of a whole room of witnesses. frankly-that was totally uncalled for when she was just basically childishly taunting people. Then Flare freaked out when he heard that the two bitchy snob girls broke into his girlfriends room and found the pen he gifted her on the floor. He acted like she fricked his brother or something.

Basically this whole series is one literature trainwreck that I can't quite look away from. its not good but it is somehow mesmerizing in how dumb it is. Like it is the unintentional parody soap opera of every reincarnation story ever.

well its just my opinion this is a public forum and I am allowed to give my impression negative or not. If you enjoyed it that's fine. I didn't hate it either and i've certainly read worse but I did believe the writing choices were particularly peculiar and felt like expressing my thoughts. I read all 19 chapters and felt i earned the right to give my honest review.

As for constructive criticism I doubt the author is ever going to read a random comment from an illegally hosted site but here it is: First of all positives- I actually like the art i think it is a unique and interesting style. I like how they are willing to really mess up their leads face with a brutal punch and I liked the absurdly violent scene where the green girl peed herself. It was shocking and interesting to see in genre that rarely lets its leads be anything less then idealized and beautiful.

As for the story it is very cliche. It has so far followed just about every story beat for the genre. The one big deviation is typically villainesses did not really deserve their death or at least you could understand what pushed them to their limit. this FL was just a violent selfish psycho since she was a kid. IF we were supposed to feel bad for her because she "loved" the prince but he wouldn't give her a chance then that's a massive failure because I didn't feel an ounce of pity for her. especially once i learned she had a loving and supportive family that didnt even force her to be with him and there was 0 explanation as to why she even liked him. I feel like she only regretted her actions once she died and I don't understand why she was given a second chance when she was a horrible person and frankly never learned her lesson in all her life. presumably if she hadn't been killed she would have continued with her ways.

Now the thing is I really don't have much issue with cliche stories. They are like familiar friends and can be quite good but the thing is that when you are referencing an extremely popular and saturated genre the bar is pretty high for quality and this has a lot of literary problems. The major ones being the pacing and lack of character development. The timing of the series is very weird. we immediately get quite a few scenes and chapters where we are briefly introduced to characters who disappear immediately (the brother and the elf). Most major decisions and developments happen off screen. Her reasoning to hire the Red Knight-done largely off screen. Her developing magic summoning powers-happened off screen. Her working through her trauma was also all done off screen. Development of their friend group-off screen. Tbh the friendship with Flare is really shallow a book fell on her friend and he helped her out and then declared them besties. same with Anastasia she just walked in and was like what's up we are best friends now. it's pretty shallow relationship building and makes the characters feel like cardboard cut outs.

I assume the main conflict of the series is going to be how she dosnt initially want to marry the prince. Except this seems like a non issue. her dad is fine with her not marrying him. tHe prince dosn't particularly care about her and all we have seen is that he wants to use his fiancé as a political tool. their chemisty has been basically non existent as she shivers in fear of him and they make very strained small talk. seems pretty easy to break it off especially since she wants to be a swordswoman. Not sure how its been like 7 years and she still hasn't broken off this engagement yet.

Another thing that I enjoyed how rapid the escalation of playground taunts to murder attempts get in this world. It is kind of nonsensical how everyone is so quick to pull out swords or plot a secret murder but its the kind of hyperbole i enjoy and I frankly wish the series would lean into how crazy it is and really go over the top with the drama. Like the whirlwind romance between Flare and the friend. its been like a day and they are already planning their life together but their love is ripped apart because it was reported a pen he gave her fell on the floor. it's ridiculous but its the best part of the series is how nonsensical it is.

Anyway if anyone enjoys this series and disagrees with me then that is 100% ok. This is just my opinion and everyone is free to like or dislike whatever they want. I personally do not think this story is well written but i do think it has a unique charm that I enjoy. Im sorry I wrote a whole book report-i was bored.
