Dude, "sheeple" means people who are easily led or influenced. And what does it even mean by them profiting off the author? It's a fan translation for god's sake. What do they gain exactly? Money? Didn't original scans group do the exact same thing before they moved their own translation to Discord? What does a fan translation of an already completed manga from 4 years ago do to the author's health, again? She just finished a season of On & Off, it's perfectly normal for an author to take a break/go on hiatus after a season. Where's the author/publisher's official statement about this manga? All you people do is listen to one source of information without even fact checking.
I could say the same thing about the opposite side. Neither side has evidence supporting whether or not the author is ok with this, but I’m willing to bet that the author would want their works removed from an illegal site. Yes, the original scan team could be lying (although I don’t see any benefit of that), but I think most people didn’t want to take the risk of the author being genuinely upset over this. And yes you profit because people are reading this for free instead of purchasing from the author. I buy the raws to support, and do I really need to spell out to you that an author is hurt when other people upload their work and steal money/reads from them smh. Doesn’t matter how old the work is; evidently people are still reading it
Again, it is what it is. If people want to continue uploading, that is fine, but they could have at least removed the original scan team’s works which they did but mangago reuploaded them against their wishes because they don’t want to be held liable for new uploads since the only name on the pages are the original scan team‘s. Do what you want, but don’t pretend to be the good guy and justify your actions with bs excuses. The original scan team had an agreement with the publisher to upload until volume 2 and then to stop as they were thinking of putting out an official English translation. Even if these are all false, the least mangago could have done was to remove the original scan team’s translations.

Stop taking words out of my mouth. I’m aware we’re on an illegal site. I never said I am a good person. I acknowledge that we steal profit from the author when we read illegal scans, BUT I buy the raws and official English translations once they come out to support the author. Do you? I’m on here because there is no official English translations so I can’t understand the raws. I buy the official ones once they’re out. I help the author when I can and don’t make excuses like others do that “the author has to make a living so there’s nothing she can do if there are illegals scans”
