Fiancé THEORY

The uke appears to be quite used to being molested, judging from how he calmly approached the situation. Perhaps the "fiancé" is his overprotective friend who only claims to be his in order to help him in blocking other people's advances?

I totally didn't think of that(⊙…⊙ ) I only thought of 1) maybe she is his fiancé only in her mind (she calls him that but he doesn't respond to her feelings) and 2) they had omai (or what they call that arranged meeting for finding partnars) and she is his boss's daughter so he can't say no (and that was his reason for wanting to quit, cuz he thought he can't take it anymore). but she demanded that they try it out and he said yes before they reencountered.
    or something along those lines

but I like your version much better. I hope you are right and there is no extra drama(๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I figured the same thing too, but I feel like either the first or second scenario is more likely. This is a yaoi after all, typical fiance/love triangle/misunderstanding cliches. But likewise, I'd love it if there wasn't any more drama.

Of course, there isn't anything wrong with drama, there are plenty of good, well-written and well-drawn drama BL, but if this story goes down the path of either your first or second theory, then hoo boy...

Because I would really like it if BL would stop prompting readers to LOATHE new female characters so much. I only posted this theory in HIGH hopes that it won't come down to that, and this ''fiancée'' will be a character we would come to like.

I know, it is BECAUSE it is such a cliche that we all hate it. Come on, they have a good thing going there, they get us all interested and then spring some cold water on us with some shitty excuse for a plot twist? damn it! if it is gonna be a cliche kind of story do it so from the beginning and don't get our hopes up!ヽ(`Д´)ノ

It is a whole other kind of thing if it is well written and not just another obstical for them to face. Or just a way for them to "realize their feelings" or a way for "slowing down" their relationship (read it as: they were finally gonna kiss/have sex, but then the girl showed up and then(≧∀≦) there were unnecessary misunderstandings and drama). Or just a way for them to "spice things up" because they feel the story is maybe getting a bit boring. too many times they give female characters just that kind of purpose so of course some people hate them or at least dislike them. especially when they give the girl an annoying personality as well#-.-) at least give them some backstory or something to make it more interesting. Make us understand all sides of the story and wish for happiness of everyone not hate a character the moment they appear or fear what is gonna happen with the quality of the story( ̄へ ̄)
sorry, it's just that it happened so many times that it kinda pisses me off when they do that.

Let's hope for the best (your scenario) =)
maybe the yaoi gods will grant our wish(≧∀≦)
