Yeah... I was just getting "Shitty Seme" vibes off him from the start. Like who the fuck does any of that? You like someone for who they are, not what you can change them into. And every scene they were in together I had this horrible feeling like he wanted to model him into someone he wasn't. I've known people like that IRL and they captured that feel perfectly, that nasty little manipulative way they speak and act in order to control and make the person on the receiving end feel like it was their fault, like they weren't good enough.
It can do serious damage, and the author captured the fall out perfectly. My one and only complaint with is story is the scene where 'Good' Seme forces himself on him. I think the scene itself was brilliantly done. But it should have been reserved for "shitty seme" or one of the other men he had slept with, not the leading love interest.
I will say, it was great to see the Uke get power back in that moment.
"Dont hug me in public, I HATE THAT KIND OF THING." That's a big red flag there.
