Lol ya, ancient gods and religion were so... Human. Meanwhile Christianity's God is seen as perfect alongside Jesus. I guess that's on of the reasons I don't like that God, I feel better knowing that the god(s) make mistakes and are "human" too. It sits better thinking that the god(s) were angry at you, or that they fluked which caused bad things to happen to you or me instead of it being a "challenge" from the all knowing, omnificent God. I'm against the just-world hypothesis that needs to exsist with a perfect God. I'd much rather have the Indian, Egyptian, or Greek / Roman gods than a single god who decides my life and death from birth, completely destined and preplanned.

And agree, take what you learn here mythologically with a grain of salt. Even Percy Jackson had to twist some things mythologically to make it fit with the story. Although Rick Riordan tried to make things as true to their origin and story as possible, so much time has passed since the creation of these myths that there are often multiple stories or interpretations / branches that no one knows the true, original history anymore. But hey, now you know the names of many let Egyptian gods, and their roles in the overarching heavenly society!
