Yeah right I wonder how some do make that kind of conclusion just because some BL they read does that. There's hundreds of BL which has a healthy relationship, no toxicity. It depends on the genre; mostly action, suspense, thrill, ABO, has some rapey scenes to thicken the plot. Widen your horizon guys.

Yes pretty everything in manhwa/manhua/manga/novel is normalized (not just in BL... BL is just a dot in terms in genres with normalized rape) authors always can find ways in justification to their works. I was referring to your original comment. I understand your point but saying things in general way will also teach those gullible ppl wrong things .

It's porn. It's not supposed to teach you anything. If a bl book makes you think rape is okay then it's rather a you problem not the work itself. Especially since the nsfw works are 18+ so we are talking about adults and there shouldn't be any children here anyway.
Rape is rly not normalized in bl, you keep repeating that but it's just a buzz word at this point. Sure, there are works that use rape as a plot point but actually quite rarely you see a series that makes rape into a normal thing. I'm so tired of this stereotype because ppl cannot differentiate between the two. Sorry but if anything it's you spreading false information to "gullible" people.

The top half of your statement is really problematic. “It’s porn. It’s not supposed to teach you anything” nobody reads these stories for learning experiences we didn’t ask for us to “teach” us anything, the point that was trying to be made was the behavior being exhibited by the main characters and accepted or condoned by other characters are harmful. The characters aren’t real but these things happen in real life. I’m not talking about this story in particular but I’ve read some stories where a character would literally rape or beat their lover and it would be okay cause he was just possessive or loves him too much and that should never be condoned.
Also “it’s just porn” isn’t a sufficient excuse either, even porn has a duty to be ethical, in no way shape or form should porn that perpetuates rape or let’s say pedophilia be okay because it’s “just” porn.
I’m all for letting authors having creative freedom but I just wish they’d acknowledge that some behaviors exhibited is not healthy instead of feeding into the narrative that it’s okay once they supposedly love each other.
Idk I started getting rapey vibes from Juergen last chapter and uh this one really puts it over the edge. It makes sense that Juergen might get angry, but if Johan wants to break up for whatever reason, I believe he has the right to? Not saying that he’s entirely justified for lying, but Juergen kinda forced him back into a relationship that made him visibly uncomfortable. We’ve also established that Juergen’s job is kinda sus, so he might have an idea of why Johan wanted to break up which kinda makes this whole thing worse?
