Like Im 18 right now and if I already had a 1 year old, I would have no idea what to do. At least I would have the support of my family and people to talk to about my mental heath, but she has none of that. She also knew that the ppl in her house would raise him better since at least they were stable to do it. She ignored him but at least she didn't hurt him since she knew that getting any closer to him would be bad and she would treat him bad. She made the right choice given her options
the fact that her husband just go with the glow knowing her and his son's relationship was getting terrible but lol this guy didn't do anything! or even took care of his wife properly haha lmao men!
but ofc neglecting her son for YEARS is horrible to do in the end, both harsen and ercella have their own faults i feel bad for the son lol

Although child neglect is horrible, we all shouldn’t see her as the bad guy. She got married at 16, gave birth at 17, and felt alone and suffocated through the whole process. She was depressed and found no value in her life. She felt like maybe it was her child’s fault. I also think that she only likes parties because everyone treated her like an outsider and a spy. She goes to parties to get away, socialize and forget. She knew it wasn’t her child’s fault but she had already distanced herself from him. Every time she tried getting closer she would think, it’s been a long time he probably doesn’t need me. I can’t imagine getting pregnant and giving birth at such a young age. And she was already depressed and so many bad things were happening around her. I feel so bad for her and I also feel bad for her child. Also the duke can’t really be putting all the blame on her because he never tried to understand her truly. ┗( T﹏T )┛
