i was going to write a quick review but then realized i liked this too much so this monstrosity of a topic was born. light spoilers for characters are in the review.
my emotions are out of control, and all i can think is that i really want someone to love me like this. both of them are so open with one another, blushing at the slightest and doing everything they can to make the other smile.
both FL and ML are just so kind and caring and respectful to each other! the couple doesn't even kiss without consent from the other.
i'd not be mistaken to say that they heal each other : FL has never experienced love and can't understand it, while ML has experienced too much halfhearted love and loves too much.
and their love story is exactly what it says in the synopsis -- a clumsy and dramatic love story. just two high schoolers trying to navigate their way through love together. they try their best, and it is so endearing.
the past does play a pretty large part in this story, but usually the story focuses on how they care for each other and try to advance their relationship (and the people around them).
both leads are incredibly precious and i would die for either one of them within a heartbeat. if only my life could make theirs better even by a little ... not even the leads!! even the side couples!! they are so endearing as well, so unique and endlessly charming.
the second male lead (this story is a love triangle for a little bit) is so kind as well. he's a boy who loves freely, but doesn't understand much about emotion until it's too late. he loves FL very very much, but pushes aside his emotions because he ultimately doesn't want to get in the way of FL and MLs romance.
that boy is too good for this world. all of them are.
as much as i paint this as a perfect love story, the characters do have flaws too! which is what makes them so painfully human, with their backstories and pains and little things about them that make them so special.
a honorable mention goes to the lead's stan coworker - she's adorable. i can understand her feeling of being happy when her idol is happy, wanting to hear his voice when she's down, etc. it was especially heartbreaking to me, and i'm glad she was able to sort things out for herself and keep on supporting the idol.
also, FL's best friend. major shoutout to her and her boyfriend! i can't explain the love i have for their love in words.
like i said earlier: this is a clumsy and dramatic love story. and it's one of the most wonderful ones i've ever read, with incredible characters with interesting lives and stories, and of course! a caring, lovely main couple.
