His mental age is around 40+ but Arthur is not 40. We have to remember that if reincarnation is truly real then technically everyones soul is older but they just forget their past lives. Just because Arthur remembers his PAST life doesn’t mean he’s some old man, he died after all and was born again! He grew up just like everyone else in the story, started from the bottom now we here! LOL. But it’s understandable that he turned down Tess anyways! Cuz he is mature but not experienced with romance though! The story is better without some hardcore romance too.

Mhh I think you're right, I remember he said that he isn't attracted to women who are around his past age and women around his age, so 12-13.
But even so, he with a 13 yo girl it's so weird for me.
And even if I want to think he isn't some old man, I can't help but think about it.
If tessa was of age, then it wouldn't be so weird, but now she is just some girl underage.
P.s. I love Tessa and I can understand she likes Arthur, cuz everyone likes Arthur, so I'm not mad about this :)
