3 knight squads: Roheneim (one Valhayle is in and most powerful backs 1st princess), Lopecce (backs 1st princes + 4th prince), Voymont
Something to note: I think the knight squads back multiple ppl
Basically the only people you need to know:
1st Princess: Linbessy (heir to the throne as of now if shes alive)
2nd Princess: Demiera (engaged to Valhayle)
8th Princess: Zelleine (our mc!)
Valhayle: Commander of Roheneim or black haired dood who flirts with bird
Backstory on the war: Basically the Viceroy Lespelle (king dude) wanted to be cool and conquer places before someone else took over so he proposed a war. other heirs were like "cool yes lets" cuz they want support from king. 1st princess (Linbessy) is more neutral and since she has the support of 2 knight squads they didnt wanna fight. King offers Linbessy Roumonx which is basically a squad of super loyal ppl that will only support heirs who the king supports. Linbessy who wants more support and doesnt want a civil war is like sure whatever and that causes the Chewridge war (wat theyre doing now) and cuz Roymonde sucks theyre losing.
Heir to Throne: Right now the most qualified candidates are Linbessy and Demiera, and they have the most support. Our mc, the 8th princess, doesnt really have political power so she survived by learning important secrets when she was younger and pretending to not know what they meant (cuz u cant really execute a royal family member u know) so she was locked up in the attic or something and survived when the other heirs went on a sibling purge (cuz who doesnt wanna be a ruler). So our mc isnt very well known in the kingdom.
What is our mc doing rn: Our mc is basically a messenger bird who delivers messages between the two knight squads, so that battles are easier and there are less casualties.

The characters names and knight squad names are long so I was just really confused. I thought there was a fight between the 3 knight squads so this makes a lot more sense that it is a foreign fight.

im just too stupid I guess... there are just too many family members and every now and again and sprinkle in more royal lore or whatever and I read it but I don't get it. Plus there are like different names to the countries or whatever.
I really wish my dumb brain could understand bc I really like the story with her being a carrier bird in the war.
