the novel im reading write now is riftan didn't find out yet about the duke or the father of maxi hurting her it goes very long way but according to the sources riftan would beat the hell out of the duke when he found that out.
actually maxi didn't said about duke beating her riftan just saw it because maxi went back to thier home because she had a miscarriage and she thought that riftan wouldn't want her anymore
