Nothing was really abrupt. I'm not sure what you're referring to. 4 comes after 3... And yes, it's implied that they got married and had a kid eventually.

Ok so i didn't get it! Was there a chapter missing? Chapter 5 felt very abrupt after chapter 3. And did they have a kid by any chance? The last page had the guy carrying a kid on his shoulders.
