I guess people can have a nice home but also broke at the same time. Like broke doesn't mean you really got nothing else, right? Maybe he really just can't keep up for everyday needs, bills and others with the current money he had before.
Isn't he suppose to be broke? that apartment look hella nice and spacious for someone who work on the street, especially if this is NYC.
