People in fandom can say anything they want about any characters even though its not actually happening in the original source and it's really normal, like the fandom had been shipping Naruto and Sasuke romantically for literally two decades. As a novel reader, the reasons are very much just spoilers lmao. But it's honestly up to the reader if you view them as platonic or romantic. What I like about the fandom (well the novel reader side) is that people understand how deep the connection is between these two (and another character but that's for when they start to appear). Basically the trio in this novel are immaculate and their relationship is beautiful. They literally are for each other, they live for one another. Hope you guys get to see why people loved this series. The writing and the characters, they're so well-written.
i heard that they became pretty intimate (not that kind of intimate) with each other. to the point where they just like each other so much that they want to be each other. is it true ? did they became best friends or true companions like dokja suggested on early chapters ?

It's up to the reader how you'd interpret the words "true companions". But for sure, their bond does become very strong, again if I say any more about these two I might spoil major turning points lmao.
YJH also gets a lot of character development besides being just this "hot-headed" main protagonist of a novel. Ngl the developments of the relationships of each character was so beautifully written. KDJ, YJH, and the other main character have a special bond that's all I'm going to say.
