What I thought of that her mother really WAS a saintness; but through magic/taboo stuff she lost her power given by the gods; and as punishment her daughter got said powers instead. While pregnant she slowly lost her saintness powers and when finally gave birth she completely lost it and went like absolutely crazier than she was before (I would assume she has a superior complex & as such too)

Ooooh yeah that’s a good theory too since she did blame her daughter for the loss/weakening of her power. Although I wonder if the saint has to die to have another saint born like the wings. But maybe another theory is that the mom had the power when she was pregnant with the mc since maybe the mc is the real saint, so the mom was able to be like a saint because she was pregnant with the real saint ? Also who is the mcs father ???
If i remember correctly she was scolded or down worded by the goddess about how she used her name for their own gain and there will be punishment and such?? I think she isn't a saint like how when she became a saint she went straight saying that the other country is in their way of development and she has sorcery or magic of sort how she uses curses and such just a thought ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

So the mom is def not the saint right? She must have did some magic/taboo stuff in order to get the wings to believe she’s the saint. Our mc is most likely the real saint but it’s weird that no wings really recognize her, but then again she isn’t doesn’t have freedom. It’s interesting because Noelle isn’t loyal to the evil “saint” when all the other wings are. Anyway I hope the later chapters explain how the mom became the “saint”
