Sadie burned herself alive along with her house because her lover left her. And that boy is the lover of Sadie that left her. (So the guy is a freaking jerk that has no guilt from the lover that had killed herself because of him and now he dares to flirt or harass women infront of Sadie's house that was burned.)

I think that guy knocked Sadie up cause in the chapter they mention a baby. But I guess after he left her she burned herself alive while she was pregnant.
