But youre right china is especially strict on marriage
well since this is a manhua, chinese families very much value their image especially traditional families, even if you are successful in your job and all but don't have a husband by the time you are 25-27, you're going to be nagged 24/7 by your family by being single and all that. i do think she isn't that dumb or naive, just pressured too much by her family for finding a partner despite having multiple achievements. it's only chapter 1, i hope she realise her own value
