His father is like a vessel for one of the rulers similar to the chairman. So he wasn’t really supposed to be alive. He’s just carrying some mission regarding the war. Unlike other vessels, he knew what was going on and gaining the ruler’s power kind of consumed his life
Iirc they were actually able to talk but I think it was just his father saying good by to him. I think it didnt even last for 5 minutes when he just disappeared
