Nope im saying human has emotions. Some human may have rough personality and we all live in different environment which nurture different personality, behavior and perspective. You might think he is abusive but others might think it just normal. You can't expect he is gentle man all the on how he is brought up. And if all the characters is all the same gentle innocent where is the fun in the plot, character development and story?? We can't enjoy their growth. For me this is a good story cause we can see changes and growths in each character as well as their relationship. We also can see the realistic feeling of insecurity towards the lovers and family. That's what make the story wonderful. As for the slap he did that to brought the mc to reality (maybe with a little bit of emotion). If he didn't the mc will continue overthinking the situation on how he is less important and so on. Some people do need a physical wake up call. And for the flithy thing because he know the mc is worrying about how to come out to his mother. Maybe the ml feel guilty cause he make the mc having hard time choosing him or his mother cause he originally not interested in man. You also see how the mother reacts which is understandable cause she never considered the possibility of her son gay. For the I can't live without you because they are the first relationship for each other and its hard to find someone you wanna be for your life so how is that wrong??? Yes it is romantic cause we can see they want to with each other till the end. Seriously its hard for us to find someone like that. Lastly i just wanna human are not the same. The diversity of human is what make each of us unique and interesting story. But i don't blame you if you don't like relationship like this and prefer a innocent,gentle relationship that's your taste not mine. But for me this is one of the best and i have been reread this multiple times.

i wouldn’t call him abusive. if you think about the way he was raised, it’s pretty clear he’d turn out the way he did. he had zero room left in his life to care or worry about anything else besides his job and his company. his father was trying to ruin his dreams at every turn, he was punished and shamed for being gay, so he just shut everything off in order to obtain his goals. he was an unfeeling robot until chu came into his life. and even before then he knew nothing about a caring relationship or what love was.
how do you expect a guy like that to not be toxic at first??? he did grow and change but yeah OF COURSE he’d be awful in the beginning, he literally had zero experience with kind intimate emotions lol

i do agree with some of your points. however, my point was that this isnt a very healthy relationship. while i do agree that the character development from 'fuck dating' to 'no i desperately need this relationship' for the black hair dood was kinda nice, jumping from one toxic mindset to another rubs me the wrong way, especially since it was written off as an ideal. and no, u dont need a physical wake up call, there are plenty of ways to communicate that dont involve physical violence. i did not expect him to be a gentle man, no, but at least he should have the introspection to und what he was doing is wrong. (and just because u are not abusive does not make u gentle or innocent) it bothered me that many of these toxic behaviour is done for dramatic effect when it was unnecessary in the first place. my point about romance is not that its wrong, but its unhealthy to be in dependent mindset. while u can never be truly independent in a relationship , having to thing 'i will die if i dont have this relationship' feels overdramatic and too much.

maybe because i was going into this expecting to open my eyes to a new look on romance and shit and was dissapointed because the things i looked out for was not addressed, i und the need for drama and character development, but some plot points just felt like it appeared out of nowhere. but well to each their own ig, thanks for this discussion

bruh why would i expect him to be ok in the beginning? i was put off on the slapping scene, at a point further in the story, and also at a point where they were already in a relationship for some time, which was written off as ok. maybe i was overexaggerating a lil bit, but it can grow from a simple slap in future fights (like in all couples), and the fact that physical violence is not addressed in the relationship makes it possible to turn abusive, especially after the honeymoon stage where they would 'oh no i would never hit him' and shit
