well in that book white fang the lonely dog found a person he grew really attached to and loved that person
so its more like metaphor as haru being thAt lonely dog who found a person(ren) and really love him
its sort of like relating thw white fang to haru
thats what i understood as

Shouldn't it be the oylther way round?? Like ren being the dog and getting attached to haru?
I am not sure what is happening anymore in this manga! It is bordering on the boring side. What is even that new teacher's motive?! And what's with haru being a dog?!
