It’s really hard for me to put into words how much I LOVE this one… so please bear with me.
Its 5 am and I’ve just finished this yaoi in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down. The end of every chapter had me desperate to find out what was going to happen next. The story was amazing and beautifully written. It moves at a a steady pace so your never bored. There were a few times that I had to stop reading and check the tags to make sure it wasn’t tagged as a tragedy. I don’t think my heart could of handled it because I felt such a deep attachment to the characters.
Ian’s life had a HORRIBLE start, and I’m so happy he was able to live a peaceful and normal life in the end as he wanted to, with the man he loved.
Raymond had his hands in everything, he was a master manipulator. I still felt that his feelings for Ian were genuine. I’m happy he finally was able to realize that Ian was more important to him then anything else. Ian deserved to be loved, cherished and protected.
When Nicholas was introduced I was afraid he’s was going to hurt Ian, but he turned out to be his strongest ally and friend. He wasn’t even afraid to stick up for Ian against Raymond.
I think what makes this yaoi special is that the story is not fixated on smut (as you see so often). Don’t get me wrong I LOVE smut, it’s just not the main focus. The smut is sprinkled throughout the story wonderfully, and it happens to deepen Ian and Raymond’s bond or love for each other.
I have read a lot (I mean ALOT) of yaoi in my life, and this one is officially one of my top 5 favorite yaoi ever!
Now I’m going to bed cause I have to work in a couple of hours.
