Wow...I really called it....its so boring (overall) and disappointing. Author legit went "yep they get away safely and they just have these powers just because...oh yea there's a curse...that's why". How unsatisfying was that? Author really ended it with a huge massacre and said peace and pretended like they explained anything.
Plot holes everywhere:
Even more confusing is the last chapter mentions "black rooms" every where in the world, which explains nothing. Why them? Why not Yeonwoo's parents who had wishes and desires? How tf do the mirrors choose people? So aliens put these black rooms in several places in multiple countries? Who makes these magical mirrors? Imagine the mirrors in their first conception...how would they kill without the hands from the dead? Is there a black room near the supermarket where the random guy walking died in front of Jun? Do they just travel an unlimited amount of miles? Why did Yeonwoo kill random people?
So uhhhh how was Jun any different from before and now? His personality didn't change one bit except he wasn't flinching and surprised about the blood. Author really just showed Jun's face in the mirror and went YEP HE'S EEEEVVVILLL. This big black room he was scared of...he didn't even look remotely scared or traumatized and we're supposed to believe he was traumatized to the point of forgetting all of it?
I mean I like twisted and psychological stories just fine but ones that are actually written well. It's just such poor writing. I mean the author just drags this "big" mystery for 60 chapters and adds no substance to her characters besides them being "hot" and fucking each other. The last sentiment Jun mentioned about them being together forever and whatnot would have been beautifully twisted if we actually saw their bond through 60 chapters. We didn't see much of their childhood or the trauma they went through together, nor anything that SHOWED they cared for each other deeply...just lust. It was just a whole lot of fucking for nothing. No character personality, no quirks, no conflict, no PLOT. There's nothing psychological about this except for a bit of gaslighting from Yeonwoo and the toxic relationship. I HATE when authors come up with shit and pass it off as amazing by tagging it as psychological and making metaphors for their story. As if metaphors is the only thing you need to make it deep. You know metaphors only work if your story really reflected the message you wanted to deliver. "Every human harbors malice....malice isn't bad." BRUH...they killed multiple people and many others all over Korea who had nothing to disturb their "paradise". Where did we see any nuance about malice in human beings?
People don't understand because of poor writing and no explanation whatsoever. You can't make up a metaphor and pretend to be deep.
