Yeah like @haemax said, he can't understand his own emotions because usually he doesn't like most women other than his mom, and now judith. And Judith unconsciously liked Rudiger, but is just now admitting it to herself, but she knows she cant have him because she thinks of her as a duty as lucas' mom-aunt and that he treats every noble woman like this. She doesn't even entertain the thought that Rudiger might be emotionally stunted
