So true. People are extra sensitive these days--the author in no way is promoting grooming, pedophilia, or any of the accusations in the comment section. They simply wrote and drew a story in which they imagined in their mind and wanted to express. They DID NOT write a story to propagate grooming, pedophilia, or other accusations.
Yes, a story can make you feel uncomfortable--you're entitled to feel that way--but if it does, it just takes one click to not see it anymore. No one is forcing you to read it.
arguing that people shouldnt comment on whatever they want bc the author wont see it here is dumb. sometimes its about sharing ur opinions with people who consume the same media. if u cant handle other people if they dont eat up the same topics as u thats a u problem. there are also a bunch of works that DO romanticize those topics and acting as if people shouldnt say anything if the author wont see it is plain stupid
Commenting in and of itself is not the problem. It's when things turn to "The Author Should" and "The Author Shouldn't" that things get ugly. Please, nobody has the right to decide how and what an Author is supposed to craft in their own story. Ultimately romanticism is an existential literary phenomenon and expecting it to disappear is pretty pointless ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ is what I was getting at. And I specified Slandering right? That's when they personally rebuke the author not when they comment on something they disagree with. It's just that the level of hypersensitivity I see everywhere is insane( ̄∇ ̄") Like EVERYWHERE. It's like fiction isn't supposed to be fiction but reality in every possible dimension. Regardless I apologise if you were personally offended
I mean sure grooming, dubcon are all illegal irl and so is MURDER and yet how many stories of gore/violence or assassins have we read? Now don't come at me telling it's romanticized or whatever cuz there are a hell ton of themes that are morally ambiguous used as an excuse for justice to romanticize murder/theft/plunder and other crimes but that doesn'tmean people don't consume such media? And consuming such media doesn'tmeanyou commit crimes? Or the authors are wrong?. The author writes what she wants and anybody with complains can write their own story. The story is yet to develop we're only a few chapters in and everybody's already busy calling out pedos when we're yet to witness what the story has to offer. So please, don't disrespect authors and their choices because any attempt at constructive commentary in this site is futile because the author will not see them and if that's not your goal of commenting you're just slandering. Because even constructive criticism is unwarranted (meaning nobody asked!) At times so STFU (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
