i get your point but tbh its kinda different in this case. people who root for yahwi are rooting for a rapist. thats like rooting for yoonbum and sangwoo to get together or hisoka and gon. (ew) i absolutely adore a lot of villians but that doesnt mean i agree with them or want them to get their way. oh well i guess. i cant change peoples opinions and at this point i think i'll just stop caring.
yahwi is a two dimensional character but not to the point that his whole identity is being a rapist. you can like him for being emotionally unavailable or whatever, this isn't anything new it's a trope used in all YA books and movies, even though it's problematic you don't necessarily need to support a character's actions to like them and that absolutely doesn't mean you'd be okay with it irl. liking johan liebert doesn't mean i support mass murder for example. i don't think wanting yoonbum and sangwoo to get together is that big of a deal, toxic relationships in fiction have their own charm like in checkmate (tan) or stalker's game. i didn't know hisoka x gon was a thing until now though, ew.
