Nunally is actually royalty cuz her mother is the daughter or something of the sea god. And about Lockmann's feeling towards Nunally - he already liked her from their school days. Because Lockmann has royal blood running in his veins and can only marry a royal, he's trying to make him hate her ( I'm not really sure about this) . After fighting some villain, he asked the king to grant him freedom of marriage .
