So in the extra, both the kid and adult are the dad. He was physically abused by his dad as a kid, that's why he locked up his son (Sakuma) so he wouldn't be able to abuse him like his dad did to him. The butterfly in the box represented Sakuma, who was locked in with the purpose of protecting him, yet it broke him instead.
That's dark.... Like he is unconsciously hurted his child too... Damn trauma , never ends happily...!
