The seme, did, some way or another heal riku’s low self esteem. Although, the method is indeed too brash and intense, but anyways, it works so... riku is a good boi but he’s also very confused. He can’t even love himself so how could he love anyone else? In the beginning of the story, he was not ready to be in a relationship, but the seme guided him through it. Also with the seme’s explosive temper. I personally think he holds out well. He’s a bit mean, but also very good at coaxing, but not manipulative.
