This manga was perfectly suited to my tastes. I fell in love with the art, characters and setting instantly. I didn’t expect the LGBT aspect to go as hard as it did, but I’m glad. Aside from the painful fanservice*, it reminded me of Shimanami Tasogare. But if you’re worried like I was that the writing could take an uncharacteristic transphobic turn at any point: it doesn’t. And the art and story made me think of a great improvement on a particular Yuu Watase piece. I have a lot of thoughts on this and I’ll have to reread it to get them all together, tbh I kept asking myself “who is this person” and “why” because I couldn’t keep track of everything... but it all came together! I LOVED Tetsuo and Amano’s relationship. The pacing of that, and everything else, was SO GOOD. The ending made me really happy, I didn’t feel that it was too rushed.
*ive done no research on the author or magazine this was released in but it feels like the author has a thing for that lmao. or maybe it was censors. “hey don’t make him too trans” “when they kiss put the guy back in drag so it looks straight” don’t quote me on this I have no idea what I’m talking about lmfao
