well... it was implied that Susan was reincarnated again which is why they never found her body. She was taken to another time/realm/world so it wouldn't make sense for her physical body to stay in this one. Also (I'm not too sure about this one but,) I'm pretty sure it was also suggested that she had a change of heart when she jumped back into the lake, so if she did return she would (hopefully) be a better person ╮(￣▽￣)╭

You know the book is end but we don't know what happened after that Susan is still there, what if she would do some greedy attempt again who knows Susan looks a bit old so probably no one would notice its her but i hope after this event Susan would a apologize to Adele cause Adele wants to be friend with Susan after all, then it would set things alright and they lives happyly ever after.
