The novel was started the same way as the manhwa. At the age of 16 then into the flashbacks.

One flash back to the past was many, many chapters from the novel. Like the tea cup which her brother gave FL. In the novel it was mentioned how he felt, why he gave, how shy as a kid he was and how FL thought about his personality because of it. Similarly how FL came to study as a child and how people were, including the teacher reluctant about it.
In the manhua, it has glossed everything about the past and showed everything in one image, if not two.
Are they really siblings related by blood? same father diff mother?
Or just prince/princess living together calling each other brother/sister?
Man if i hadn't read the novel, it would be confusing af （￣へ￣）. They should have started the novel when the princess was less than 10 and not 16, skipping a lot of content that makes this novel much most understandable. The art is very gorgeous though.
