Briddy has literally been abused in her childhood. She's not stupid, she has trauma. She doesn't understand the difference between stern concern amd him being angry at her. She also doesn't know the difference between platonic speaking and romantic. People always think abused females leads are stupid when it's not stupidity, it's lack of affection growing up.
