Er, how long do you reckon the next Finder update will be when it comes? Don't get mad--it might not be more than 10 pages. I don't know. I just don't want to get people's hopes up.

I am genuinely curious to understand why people feel they have a right to be angry over the length of a chapter that they are reading for free on an illegal upload website.

Me neither - I have a friend who writes professionally - she had writer's block and life issues for two years, missed numerous publishing deadlines and such, but her fans did not criticize, they just waited patiently. Perhaps sensei is having a similar problem? I will wait patiently until the next instalment comes out - complaining helps no one, especially the author.

Well, I'm hoping that the next Abyss chapter will come some time this year.... I can have hopes for it and I have the other yaoi manga to keep me occupiedლ(´ڡ`ლ)

Well, if you've been waiting for a long time for a chapter update and it got updated but only have 10 pages you would feel angry or frustrated because you've been waiting for so long and you only get few pages out of it. Its not very satisfying when you think about it.

That's true. Fans wait patiently for the next chapter. Its just that feeling when you can't control your excitement for what's going to happen next. That's why some fans gets angry when there is only 10 pages in a chapter update. Also, their excitement dies out after a long and might have been let down when a chapter gets updated. This is only my opinion.

I can empathize with being hungry for a story and wanting more. It's just that sometimes we have to be patient (especially if we are reading for free). Good things do come to those who wait.

Sometimes frustrated comments seem unfair to me (not necessarily your comments, but similar ones). A while ago, we were having a discussion about various characters, and someone kindly posted and extra about the characters. People saw the finder "update" and the comment section was flooded by people who were mad because what they saw wasn't what they wanted (the next chapter). It was kind of the person who uploaded the extra--but people were mad anyway because waiting is hard.

When we were getting chapters, people often commented that they were short. I understand wanting more but it just seemed...entitled? I don't know. I get it, but it still seems a bit ungrateful somehow.

Ah... I appreciate what sensei updates for us even if it was only a few pages but sometimes my hunger for wanting more screams out. However, I dont often express my opinions here its just once in a while. Like what you said good things comes to those who waits and I know the feeling of those people who express their anger however, sensei is also doing her best in updating.
She maybe be busy or ill and people should accept that she has a life apart from drawing manga.
But, I can assure you I am not the same as those people who gets angry because of few pages updates XD I can contain my anger pretty well and I have the other yaoi manga to keep my occupied. Oh, I have kpop and anime as well
