Aokaga?
Aokaga? As in KNB aomine and kagami????
How is that ever canon...?
Yep. Though I did say it's canon, but not the usual mainstream meaning of canon (as in, in a romantic relationship) but canonnically fated for each other. Damn, it's already been like 6? 7? years since the anime was released but I'm still so hung up on the info I just read.
Basically speaking, the author was dropping so many hints that implied AoKaga as the most compatible pairing in the anime (despite their constant bickering and cussing). They complement each other so perfectly as well as make each other push their limits and reach where they are now.
It is undeniable that AoKaga together would be invincible and wild monsters on court.
Fun fact: AoKaga has two duets together, namely, "Exciting Communication" and "Ultimate Zone". Their voices are great together (especially with Daiki rapping). Feel free to judge the implications of the lyrics (because damn, lyrics are nearly suggestive. And there's Taiga fanboying over Daiki's formless shots.)
There's also a couple MiniDrama CDs that subtly focuses on the pair's interactions and affinity. (I say subtly but there is one dramacd that only just consisted of them two meeting again at Maji Burger and playing 1v1 right after. And another one where they're at a beach and Taiga and some of Seirin's members are helping out at some restaurant, and somewhere near the end Taiga just serves Daiki a bowl of tai chakure (his improvised dish) because Daiki hadn't eaten one yet, and he went ouf of his way to make Daiki eat his cooking, and right after Daiki took his first bite, Taiga went: "How is it? Pretty good huh?" and the blunette just went "Alrighty, time to go home." And its just so damn hilarious that he won't admit it's good af.)
Anyways, I know I'm never gonna convince any of you that AoKaga is canon one way or another, but hey, that's fine. I'll still love them and admire their interactions.
Ps. Remember the part where Daiki went "Play with me 1v1 and if you win I'll lend (read: give) you one of my shoes."? Well, Taiga lost in the end, but Daiki still gave him shoes (which were *brand new* Jordans with Taiga's colors on it) and said "It's fine, I was gonna give it to you anyways." (Momoi was there and all of us are sure she isn't going to let him live it down) (read: proposal shoes- i could be said already that Daiki bought it thinking of him because the colors just gave it away-)
Pps. Remember the Seirin vs Rakuzan match? Yeah. The Shameless Aomine Daiki stood up and yelled at him (while the whole crowd in the damn gym were sitting). And when Seirin won, He. Fckn. Cried. And had this huge grin on his face just boldy speaking "PROUD".

But it'll probably just gain a lot of backlash and haters (who are either homophobes, people who don't ship them, or toxic fujodanshis who hate other pairings that aren't what they are shipping and show it by throwing hate comments and dirt)

Oh right! I haven't thought about that, since I'm not a very active person in the internet (more like actively 'socializing') especially in those kinds of stuff. I'm most comfortable with rambling about it in random places like here (when I feel like it)
